Progress4smile organization begins work on a new project
In July the Progress team started what turned out to be a productive cooperation with the independent advanced researcher Angela Antonova. She has a long-term research on the factors, influencing the integration of young Bulgarians (living abroad and in the country) in the Bulgarian society. Together with us she is going to carry out a participatory action research, taking big part in a project, implemented throughout the whole country and supporting the organizational development of Progress4smile. Here is a short paragraph of the project résumé:
"Today at the threshold of EU accession the most urgent challenge to the Bulgarian society is to discover an original Bulgarian way of practicing democracy in everyday life, in a way which increases public participation in the formal and informal institutions that shape our daily lives.
Building everyday Democracy into Bulgarian society today asks for fundamental cultural change which could be launched only with youth enthusiasm and active participation of the young Bulgarians who live abroad and in the Country. Paradoxically healthy talented creative young Bulgarians, who are the most resourceful and motivated promoters of change, are the biggest socially excluded group. "
